intentnl Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026 · Pilot version
intentnl is a pilot service. This page explains what information we collect about you, why we collect it, who else sees it, and your rights.
The pilot will run for up to 12 weeks, after which, unless you opt in to the next step, all of your personal data will be deleted. We will retain anonymised statistical data that help us design the next steps of this service.
If you're visiting our website
If you share your name and phone number with us on intentnl.com before joining the pilot, we use that information only to let you know when a place becomes available. We don't share it with anyone, we don't use it for anything else, and we delete it once the pilot is full or you ask us to. To do that, email privacy@intentnl.com.
intentnl operates under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
Overview:
-
We collect what we need to introduce you to members nearby and help your pod coordinate practical support. Nothing more.
-
We verify your identity when you sign up to confirm you are who you say you are.
-
We don't sell your data or run ads.
-
Your snapshot is only seen by the members we introduce you to and by your pod, never by the public.
-
You can see your data, correct it, or have it deleted. Just ask.
Who we are
intentnl Ltd is the data controller for your information. That means we decide what's collected and why, and we're responsible for looking after it. intentnl Ltd, company number 17248752, London. Contact: privacy@intentnl.com
What we collect, why, and our lawful basis
"Lawful basis" is the legal reason we're allowed to process each piece of information. Here's the full picture.
Where you choose to write something in a free-text field, or what you share reveals something sensitive, that information is held on the same basis as the rest of your snapshot, and protected the same way. You decide what you share.
Who else handles your data
We work with a few suppliers to run the service. They only act on our instructions.
-
Supabase stores your account and snapshot data, and holds your ID photo in a private, locked-down area.
-
Lovable hosts the app.
-
Twilio sends the text messages.
-
Resend sends the emails.
-
Google signs you in via Google OAuth.
Your identity check isn't sent to an outside company. We do it ourselves: someone on our team views your ID, confirms it, and deletes it. It never leaves intentnl. We never sell your data, and we never share it for advertising.
Data leaving the UK
Some of these suppliers may store or process data outside the UK. Where that happens, we make sure your information is protected by the legal safeguards UK data protection law requires. We're still confirming the exact arrangements with each supplier, and will update this section once they're settled.
Artificial intelligence and your data
During the pilot, intentnl does not use artificial intelligence or machine learning. A person does introductions, decisions and any actions taken on the service. Your data is never used to train AI or machine learning models, by us or by anyone acting on our behalf.
Keeping people safe
If we have a genuine concern that a child or adult is at risk of serious harm, we may share relevant information with the appropriate authorities without your consent. We will only ever share what is necessary, and we will act proportionately. If you report someone, your identity as the reporter is not disclosed to the person you reported. If we receive a lawful request from police or law enforcement, we will comply.
How long we keep your data
-
Your ID photo is held in a private, locked-down area, viewed by our team to confirm your identity, and deleted as soon as that's done, and in any case within 48 hours. We don't keep it, and it's never sent to anyone outside intentnl.
-
The rest of your data is kept while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete your data.
-
Safeguarding and report records may be kept for longer, even after an account is deleted, where we need them to meet a legal duty or to protect someone. We keep these to a minimum and store them separately.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you can:
-
See the data we hold about you.
-
Amend anything incorrect.
-
Delete your data (subject to the safeguarding exception above).
-
Take your data with you in a portable format.
-
Object to us using your data where our basis is legitimate interests.
-
Withdraw consent at any time, where we've relied on your consent.
-
Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, if you think we've got something wrong. You can reach them at ico.org.uk. We'd rather you came to us first so we can put it right, but the option is always yours.
To do any of these, email privacy@intentnl.com. We'll respond within one month.
Cookies
We don't use tracking or analytics cookies, and we don't profile you across the web. Wix, which hosts our website, sets a small number of essential cookies needed to make the site work and keep it secure. You can control cookies through your browser settings at any time.
If we ever add analytics, we'll update this section and ask for your consent first.
Children
intentnl is for mothers, and you must be 18 or over to join. Children do not have accounts and do not use the app.
We do hold children's ages as part of a member's profile, because that's part of helping members coordinate the right support. We keep that to the minimum we need, and we protect it the same way we protect everything else.
Changes to this policy
This is the pilot version. As intentnl grows, this policy will change, and we'll update the date at the top of this page. If we make a significant change to how we use your data, we'll tell you.
